News outlets have begun to reduce their reliance on X, once a favorite source of global media.
According to media reports, X owner and ally of US President-elect Donald Trump, Elon Musk, is accused of spreading misinformation on his platform.
Taking a “hard and extreme” stance, Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyhete has become the third major media outlet to stop publishing its articles on X.
The newspaper’s editor-in-chief, Peter Wolodarsky, said that since Elon Musk took over the company, the platform has increasingly become aligned with his and Donald Trump’s political ambitions.
Earlier, the British center-left daily The Guardian announced that it would no longer post content on X from its official X accounts, which the organization called “toxic.”
