Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sunny Deol’s film ‘Border 2’ is mired in a legal dispute.
According to the Indian media, Bharat Shah has issued a public notice in the ‘Complete Cinema’ magazine, stating that he and Bena Bharat Shah own the international rights of the film ‘Border’.
In 1994, there was an agreement between JP Dutta and Bharat Shah that the film’s revenue would be shared in the ratio of 50:50, but JP Dutta did not provide financial details and did not give the profits.
Bharat Shah had filed a case against JP Dutta in the Bombay High Court in 2014, which is now pending in the Civil Court.
The notice warns that whoever makes a deal with JP Dutta regarding the rights of the film ‘Border’ will do so at his own risk, as the matter is pending in court.
