Hyderabad: Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, who was arrested in the Scindia Theatre stampede case that took place during the promotions of the popular film Pushpa 2 – The Role, has been given a big relief by the court.
According to reports, the actor has been exempted from the restriction of reporting to the Chakrapally police station every Sunday.
The court has also relaxed the restrictions imposed on his travel, and now Allu Arjun has been allowed to travel abroad.
Allu Arjun’s legal team had requested the court citing the actor’s security concerns, after which the decision was taken into consideration.
During the promotions of Pushpa 2 – The Role, a stampede broke out outside the Scindia Theatre while he was meeting fans, resulting in the death of a woman and serious injuries to her son.
The court had ordered Allu Arjun to pay a fine for the medical expenses of the victim’s family and other financial assistance.
Concerns about the safety of the actor and his family have increased after the actor’s arrest and the raid on his house.
Despite these controversies, Pushpa 2 – The Role, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Fazal, became the biggest blockbuster of the year. The film is directed by Sukmaar and produced by Maitri Movie Makers.
