Meta subsidiary platform WhatsApp has revealed that it is working on a feature that will enable users to view and follow channels using QR codes.
WhatsApp is rolling out a new section that allows channel owners to share QR codes in their channels. Specifically, this feature is presented as a more efficient alternative to traditional link sharing.
A QR code can be displayed directly on the screen for anyone to scan instead of requiring users to send a link to the channel.
Additionally, this new feature also removes the need to copy and send the channel invitation link.
