The Pentagon report said that “F-35 performance has been affected in six years of combat trials, maintenance delays, defective cannons and cyber defense capabilities remain concerns.”
According to the report, the F-35 sometimes fails immediately after takeoff and suffers from various technical problems during flight. A serious malfunction in the F-35’s automatic system sends one false alert per hour, while the standard was set at one error per 50 hours.
Trump is trying hard to get rid of these planes by selling this plane to Modi for more than $80 million.
Elon Musk also wrote in one of his messages that the F-35 plane is expensive and there is no place for such a plane in the era of drones, it will only kill the pilot.
Criticizing Modi, the Indian opposition has said that India will lose 3.1 million Indian rupees per hour to fly the F-35 plane, the F-35 deal is a diplomatic trick of the US and is being used to put pressure on India.
Indian Air Force experts say about the F-35 that “it is expensive, a burden on the budget and does not suit India’s defense needs”.
Experts further say that the strict safety rules of American technology do not allow local manufacturing, Trump wants to make India dependent on the US, the US F-35 plane is expensive and costs a lot of money to maintain. The US wants to get rid of this expensive aircraft and impose it on India.
