KARACHI: The price of gold has reached the highest level in the country’s history, while the price of gold has also increased at the global level.
The price of gold rose by $23 per ounce in the international bullion market, settling at a new level of $2,524.
On the other hand, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs 2300 per tola in the local bullion markets, so the price reached the highest level in the country’s history at Rs 2 lakh 64 thousand per tola, while the price of gold per 10 grams was Rs 1972. Due to the increase, the new price reached the historical level of Rs. 2 lakh 26 thousand 337.
Contrary to the increase in the price of gold in the country, the price of silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs 2900 and the price of silver per 10 grams remained unchanged at Rs 2486.28.
The representatives of the bullion market say that the talk of interest rate reduction by the US Central Bank, the news of the risks of the escalation of the Russia-Ukraine war after the missile purchase agreement between Russia and Iran, gold fell internationally. An upward trend in prices is being seen, which is having a negative impact despite limited business activity in the local exchange markets.
