Karachi: The price of gold has increased in global and local markets.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold rose by $6 per ounce, resulting in a new price of $2410 per ounce.
On the other hand, the price of 24 carat gold rose by Rs 400 per tola in the local bullion markets on Saturday and the new price went to the level of Rs 2 lakh 49 thousand 400 per tola. Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams in the country also increased by 343 rupees and reached the level of 2 lakh 13 thousand 820 rupees.
Contrary to the increase in the price of gold in the country, the price of silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs 2,900 and the price of silver per 10 grams remained unchanged at Rs 2,486.28.
Bullion market representatives say that due to reduced buying activities of gold, the price of gold per tola has been undercast by Rs 3000 in the local bullion markets.
