Karachi: The price of gold has increased in global and local markets.
The price of gold rose by $9 per ounce in the international bullion market, bringing the new global price to $2,364.
Similarly, in the local bullion markets, the price of 24 carat gold per tola increased by Rs 1,100 to Rs 244,400 and the price of gold per 10 grams increased by Rs 944 to Rs 209,534.
Contrary to the increase in the price of gold in the country, the price of silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs 2,850 and the price of silver per 10 grams remained unchanged at Rs 2,443.41.
Bullion market representatives say that the price of gold per tola has been undercast by Rs 3,000 in local bullion markets due to very low buying activity.
