Growth is being talked about, efforts are being made to cooperate with the federation in terms of GDP.

While holding a post-budget press conference in Karachi, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the total size of the budget is 3,56 billion. The budget of Sindh government is increasing every year. The percentage growth target seems difficult.

Murad Ali Shah said that our development budget is more than other provinces, 31% of Sindh’s budget goes to development works, the federal government should also consider Sindh as Pakistan and give development schemes, while the caretaker government has implemented the development schemes of the elected government. Stop the scams.

Murad Ali Shah said that the budget has been made in difficult circumstances, due to the closure of development schemes included in the caretaker government’s budget, there has been a slowdown, prices have increased due to inflation, due to which the estimate may increase, the current budget is flooded. Steps have been taken to rehabilitate the victims.

He said that the Sindh Cabinet decided not to include any new scheme in the budget but to complete all the ongoing schemes this year and next year we will go for growth, but this does not mean that there will be no growth this year. Will be.

Chief Minister Sindh said that out of 3 thousand 56 billion rupees, 1 thousand 912 rupees are for current revenue expenditure, 184 billion rupees are earmarked for capital expenditure (debt repayment, operation maintenance expenses, etc.). More than 1000 billion will be spent on development for the next financial year.

He said that 70 percent of the current revenue expenditure of more than 1900 billion goes to salaries only, which includes 38 percent of current salaries, 14 percent of pensions and other grants including the rest of the local government, only 21 percent of non-salary expenditure. This includes operating expenses, physical assets expenses, building repairs etc.

Murad Ali Shah said that we expect to get 1900 billion rupees from the federation, we have kept 619 billion rupees for tax, 43 billion non-tax revenue has been kept, current capital reset is around 27 and a half billion. In this way, we are getting 2 thousand 590 billion rupees, apart from the gap, the money is coming from foreign assistance projects.

He said that the Prime Minister has promised to give 30 billion rupees in the first 6 months in the year 2024.25, the promises made by the Prime Minister have come to us in writing. Has said that money will come.

Sindh Chief Minister said that we have three main institutions that collect taxes, Sindh Revenue Board’s target for this year was 235 billion rupees and we have reached the target, while next year’s target is 300 billion rupees. .

He said that the Excise and Taxation Department will collect revenue of around 130 billion this year, next year its target has been set at 204 billion rupees. has made efforts and a committee has also been formed for this, about 61 billion has been kept.

The Chief Minister of Sindh said that in the budget we have increased the salaries of government employees and suggesting to increase the salaries, the minimum salary should be 37 thousand rupees. , Grades 1 to 6 have received a 30 percent pay hike, which ranges from 32,000 to 36,000 at the entry level, but they will be given the full 37,000, but those above Grade 7 will get more.

He said that the salaries of grade 6 to 16 have been increased by 25%, the salaries of those in grade 17 to 22 have been increased by 22%, we have tried to balance it so that our worker federation Don’t miss out on any convenience in the competition.
