Washington: Sikhs for Justice chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu attended the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.
During the inauguration ceremony, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu raised slogans in favor of Khalistan and recorded a special statement.
Gurpatwant Singh announced the Khalistan Referendum voter registration for Sikhs on this occasion and said that this referendum will enable the Sikh community from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to exercise its right to self-determination.
Gurpatwant Singh Pannu said that Sikhs in India are facing threats to their identity, religion and freedom of existence.
According to him, 20 million Sikhs are under siege under the oppressive measures of the Modi government. He added that the Sikh community will confront the atrocities of the Modi government and continue to fight for their rights.
Garuptunat Singh made it clear that the only solution for Sikhs is an independent Sikh homeland, where they can freely fulfill their religious and political aspirations. According to him, the Khalistan referendum is not a simple election but a recognition of freedom from Indian oppression.
During the ballroom dinner at President Trump’s inauguration, Garuptunat Singh Pannu raised his voice for the problems of Sikhs and their rights before the world. He said that the Sikh community will continue its struggle on a global scale to achieve its goal.
