Saudi Arabia says that Israel’s decision to expand settlement in the occupied Golan is condemnable.
According to Arab media, a statement issued by the Saudi Foreign Ministry said that it strongly condemns the Israeli decision to expand Jewish settlement in the occupied Golan.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry says that Israel’s move is tantamount to sabotaging the prospects for restoring security, stability and peace in Syria.
Stressing the need to respect Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, Saudi Arabia called on the international community to condemn Israel’s violations of the Golan buffer zone.
Saudi Arabia also appealed to the international community to play a role in preventing Israel from violating the Golan buffer zone and expansionist actions.
It should be remembered that armed rebel groups in Syria captured the capital Damascus in just 11 days and Bashar al-Assad fled to Russia.
After which Israeli aircraft bombed military bases, airports and military installations in Syria and entered the “buffer zone” of war-free areas established under the supervision of the United Nations.
Israel has expressed its intention to further expand the occupied Golan area, which is a violation of the agreement reached between Syria and Israel.
