An event was organized by Sindh Medical College and Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center in which experts expressed concerns about the rising cases of colon cancer.
According to experts, colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer worldwide, accounting for about 10 percent of all cancer cases.
It is also the second leading cause of cancer deaths globally.
The disease mainly affects older people, with most cases occurring in people aged 50 and above. However, experts noted that it can be significantly reduced through basic prevention strategies such as adopting a healthy lifestyle, avoiding risk factors and early detection of the disease through screening.
