Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while offering to form a parliamentary committee for PTI, said that he is sincerely ready to take forward negotiations with PTI, I want the negotiations to proceed, our committee has said that we will give a written response, we are ready for the House Committee.
Addressing the federal cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the government happily accepted PTI’s offer for negotiations, a committee was formed and then negotiations started through the Speaker.
The Prime Minister said that on the demand of the government committee, PTI presented written demands, on which we informed them that a written response to these demands would be given and the meeting was supposed to be held on the 28th, but before that, they refused and ran away.
The Prime Minister further said that our members told him that you have made written demands, we will also give a written response, you come, we will talk to you formally.
The Prime Minister said that after the 2018 elections, I entered the House wearing black armbands in protest, then Imran Khan came forward and told me that we are forming a parliamentary committee that will investigate the elections. He asked us for names for the committee and announced the formation of the committee. The committee was formed, but that day and today are the days. The committee must have been formed. One and a half meetings must have taken place, but the rest is all part of history.
The Prime Minister advised the PTI to look into its own pockets and said, “Come and sit down, we are ready for the House Committee. The 2018 Committee should also complete its work and a House Committee should also be formed for the 2024 elections to bring out the facts.”
The Prime Minister further said that if they talk about the November 26 sit-in, then the House Committee should also cover the 2014 sit-in. I am ready to move forward with sincerity and good faith so that the country moves forward, otherwise the country will be harmed by their chaos. The country cannot afford more chaos.
The Prime Minister further said that the State Bank has announced a one percent reduction in interest rates. I think the interest rate should have been reduced by at least 2 percent. This will certainly benefit business and industry.
He said that hundreds of Pakistanis have lost their lives in human trafficking incidents. We are fully focused on the damage that was done to Pakistan’s image as a result of this black business. We will not sit idly by until this matter is cleared of elements involved in corruption and defamation of Pakistan.
