The government has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products. The new rates will be applicable from September 1, 2024.
The price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 1.86 per litre, after which the new price of petrol is Rs 259.10 per litre.
The price of high speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 3.32 per litre, after which the new price of high speed diesel is Rs 262.75 per litre.
The price of kerosene has been reduced by Rs 2.15 per litre, after which the new price of kerosene is Rs 169.62 per litre.
Similarly, the price of light diesel oil has decreased by Rs 2.97 per liter to Rs 154.05 per litre.
It should be noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had announced a drastic reduction in the prices of petroleum products on Independence Day.
Petrol price was reduced by Rs 8.47 per liter and diesel by Rs 6.70 per litre. The price of petrol per liter was Rs 260.96 and the price of diesel was Rs 266.07 per liter.
