Karachi: After the victory in the Champions Trophy, Indian cricketers are returning home in pieces.
The players are leaving for their respective cities. Head coach Gautam Gambhir will reach New Delhi on Monday evening.
Indian players will be away from cricket activities for some time in view of the preparations for the IPL.
India’s domestic league, the Indian Premier League (IPL), will start from March 22, in which 10 franchise teams will compete against each other.
Meanwhile, the Women’s Premier League final is also scheduled for Monday at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, due to which no reception ceremony could be held on the return of the Indian cricket team.
