Increase in cholera patients in hospitals after Eid-ul-Adha

After Eid-ul-Azha, the number of cholera patients increased in the hospitals of Karachi, the citizens are suffering from stomach diseases by eating a lot of meat and abstaining from it, medical experts advised the citizens to eat meat in moderation.

According to the details, during the three days of Eid-ul-Adha, the suggestions of nutritionists were ignored by the citizens, feasts and barbecue parties are still going on in many families, and the citizens are eating a lot of meat dishes. is, due to which stomach diseases are increasing in them.

Patients are coming to the hospitals of Karachi with complaints of stomach pain and indigestion. Dr. Irfan Siddiqui, ER in-charge of the morning shift of Jinah Hospital Karachi, said that on the first day of Eid, 70, on the second day, 55 to 60, and on the third day of Eid, about 60 patients came to Jinnah Hospital emergency with symptoms of cholera.
Dr. Imran Sarwar, head of accident department of Civil Hospital, said that 1000 to 1200 patients came to the ER of Civil Hospital Karachi on the three days of Eid with complaints of stomach pain, nausea and diarrhea, of which about 35 people were admitted. .

Medical Superintendent of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Dr. Javed said that more than 600 patients have come to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital with complaints of indigestion, nausea, stomach pain and diarrhea, in which about 20 patients have been admitted. .

Nutritionists are declaring the use of more meat in Eid-ul-Adha as harmful to health, medical experts have suggested to citizens that a healthy person eats a maximum of 70 grams of meat per day, but heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure. And people suffering from cholesterol disease should eat less amount of beef while being careful, eating fish or mutton for such people will be beneficial. Along with urban meat accessories, keep the use of salad, lemon water, vegetables and fruits.
