Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital on Thursday morning by a rickshaw driver, Bhajan Singh Rana, on Mumbai’s Linking Road. The actor was repeatedly stabbed during a robbery at his house.
According to Indian media, the rickshaw driver said that a woman came running and asked him to stop the rickshaw. She was demanding to take the actor to the hospital from the gate of his house. The driver initially did not know that the injured person was Saif Ali Khan.
According to Bhajan Singh Rana, ‘He was wearing a white shirt that was covered in blood, a child and a youth were with him. On reaching the hospital, Saif Ali Khan revealed his identity’.
According to doctors at Lilavati Hospital, the actor is out of danger after emergency surgery. His wife Kareena Kapoor was not present at the time of the incident.
It may be recalled that Saif Ali Khan is the son of former cricketer Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore.
