The world’s most popular browser, Google Chrome, is experimenting with a new AI tool that will help prevent online frauds.
The feature is currently in the trial phase. This feature analyzes web pages and determines whether they are suspicious. The tool uses an AI tech called Large Language Model (LLM) on devices.
The feature was first reported by a channel called Leopeva64. The channel regularly highlights web browser features that are being trialed.
Leopeva64 discovered a flag on the browser that can be enabled called ‘Client-side detection brand and intent for scam detection’. It is present in the latest version of Chrome’s experimental browser Canary.
This flag examines the content of any web page and determines what it is trying to do and whether that content is in line with the website’s intended purpose or brand.
