The first Pakistan Banking Summit 2025 is underway under the Pakistan Banks Association, in which Federal Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, bank presidents and foreign delegates are participating.
Pakistan Banks Association Chairman Zafar Masood while addressing the Banking Summit said that the FBR should not try to declare us default through its actions, we resist against ADR or tax on our income, the banking sector collected Rs 30 billion in revenue to the government in a single day.
He said that the purpose of the summit is to align with industrial leaders and international players. The banking sector is Pakistan’s top taxpayer. The banking sector has surpassed the oil and gas sector in tax payments.
