ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected Rs 3 billion more than the target in the first month of the current fiscal year 2024-25.
According to the details, FBR has made an interim net tax collection of more than 659 billion 20 crore rupees in July 2024, while the target of tax collection in July was set at 656 billion rupees.
In this sense, in the first month FBR collected more than Rs 3 billion 20 crore revenue from the target. According to FBR sources, in July, income tax collected Rs 300 billion, while sales tax collected Rs 307 billion.
37.4 billion rupees were collected as excise duty. 91.7 billion rupees were collected under customs duty. In addition, refunds of Rs 77.9 billion were also issued in July.
It should be noted that FBR has set a tax target of 12 thousand 970 billion rupees for the current financial year.
