TORONTO: Bollywood superstar Diljit Dosanjh is receiving immense acclaim from the desi community across the world for his stellar performances in Canada and the US.
According to Indian media reports, some allegations have surfaced against his ongoing ‘Dil Luminati Tour’ that his background dancers are not being paid.
Rajat Butta, a Los Angeles-based entrepreneur and owner of a dance institute, took to social media to praise Diljit’s achievements and express his dismay at the alleged mistreatment of dancers.
Rajat tagged Diljit on Instagram and wrote that all the desi dancers in Diljit’s tour were not paid and were only expected to perform for free.
On the other hand, in response to the allegations, several dancers have termed dancing with Diljit Dosanjh as a priceless opportunity and a source of pride for them.
He said that we are proud of our participation and Diljit has opened new avenues for the Punjabi community. Don’t try to break our relationship. We are united. The post was signed by “all Bhangra teams and captains”.
