RIYADH: A Saudi Arabian company has produced a drink made from dates and now preparations for its formal inauguration have been completed.
According to an APP report, ‘Turat Al-Madinah’, a company owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, has completed preparations to launch the drink ‘Milaaf Cola’ made from dates.
During the ongoing Date Fair in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, the new drink was introduced in the presence of Minister of Agriculture Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli and the company’s CEO Bandar Al-Qahtani.
Company officials were quoted as saying that other products made from dates will also be introduced to the market soon and all the rules and regulations of international food standards have been taken into account in the preparation of Milaaf Cola.
Earlier, a company named ‘Swani’ was established in July 2023 with capital from the Public Investment Fund, with the aim of manufacturing and marketing products from camel milk.
