KARACHI: After 2 days of low prices in global and local markets, the price of gold increased on Wednesday.
The price of gold per ounce increased by 10 dollars in the international bullion market, bringing the new global price to the level of 2372 dollars.
On the other hand, the price of 24 carat gold rose by Rs 600 per tola in the local bullion markets, bringing the new price to Rs 245,600. Similarly, the price of gold rose by Rs 514 per 10 grams to Rs 210,562.
Contrary to the increase in the price of gold in the country, the price of silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs 2,900 and the price of silver per 10 grams remained unchanged at Rs 2,486.28. Bullion market representatives say that the price of gold per tola has been undercasted by Rs 2,500 in the local bullion markets due to reduced buying activities of gold.
It should be noted that during the last two days there was a downward trend in gold prices.
