Lahore: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that the dissenting note of 2 judges put a big question mark on the decision of the majority.
Attaullah Tarar, while holding a press conference in Lahore, said that two judges of the Supreme Court, Justice Aminuddin Khan and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, had issued a note disagreeing with the decision to give specific seats to PTI. A written decision has not yet been issued by the rest of the judges?
The Federal Information Minister said that the judges of the Supreme Court are saying that the article of the constitution will have to be suspended to implement this decision. will Will this not be a violation of Article 62 and 63?
He said that in the future too, floor crossing can be done by justifying this decision and any member of the assembly will be able to change the party. The dissenting note of 2 judges casts a huge question mark on the majority’s decision.
He further said that it is very important to get an answer to the constitutional and legal points raised by the judges in their dissenting notes, and suspending the constitution to implement the judgment is a big question mark on the legal framework, otherwise the Supreme Court’s decision. Giving the impression of unilateral relief will give a blow to the constitution and the rule of law and will cause a great loss to the rule of law and floor crossing will become legal while Article 62, 63 will be suspended.
