Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, this film stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.
In the film, Ranveer Singh played the role of Muslim ruler Alauddin Khilji, while Shahid Kapoor played Maharawal Ratan Singh and Deepika Padukone played the role of Rani Padmavati.
The story of the film made the audience emotional because in it the hero and heroine meet a tragic end, while the villain survives. After the release of the film, it became very popular among the audience and created a sensation at the box office.
Ranveer Singh won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his performance, while Sanjay Leela Bhansali won the National Award for Best Music. The film received a 7.1 rating on IMDb and is available on Amazon Prime Video.
The film grossed ₹387.37 crore in India, while its worldwide collection of ₹571.98 crore made it the second highest-grossing film of 2018.
