The Islamabad High Court sought an explanation from the federal government by September 16 whether there will be a military trial of Imran Khan or not.

Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb summoned Assistant Attorney General Azmat Bashir Tarar to the rostrum and asked him to take instructions from the Attorney General’s office and inform the court.
PTI’s lawyer said that we are afraid of a trial. Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb remarked that this is politics.
Advocate PTI said that statements were made by top government and military officials, the statement came from the DG. Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb replied that it is also politics.
The Islamabad High Court cleared the objections on the petition of founder PTI and directed the registrar office to put a number on the petition.
Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb said that the ministers threatened military trial of PTI founder, PTI founder is a civilian, the military trial of a civilian is a cause of concern for the petitioner and the court, the petitioner’s lawyer said. There is a statement from DG ISPR, if this is the case then there should be a clear stand from the Federation. Take instructions from the federal government and inform the court clearly on Monday.
Justice Hasan Aurangzeb remarked that there is a decision of the Supreme Court regarding the trial of civilians in military courts. If nothing like this happens then the application will become ineffective, if something like this is considered then we will hear and decide the case.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till September 16.
