Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Ali has said that if the ongoing talks with the government did not result in the formation of a commission regarding May 9 and November 26, then we should not have sat with the government just for hello and photo sessions.
Talking to the media outside the Judicial Complex Islamabad, he said that a case was filed in connection with the protest held in front of the Supreme Court, in which the terrorism section was involved, and a hearing on the bail application is underway.
He said that many lawyers have been charged in cases, they had appeared in it, now the hearing has been scheduled for the 4th, the judge has said that he hopes that this case will end on the 4th.
He said that talks are the best way and talks should have been held and we had started this with great generosity, despite reservations, we were sitting in good faith, we have been abused by the government, our mandate has been stolen.
He said that despite the way Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were punished, Khan Sahib had announced that we have two demands and we will negotiate on them.
Barrister Gorhar said that the first round of negotiations was held, the date was December 23, January 2, then January 16, the date was read, after that they kept it for 28, but on January 16, we told them that now you should announce in 7 days whether you are going to form a commission or not.
The PTI Chairman said that the commission also had to decide who the judges would be, who the TORs would be, how much time would it take? Will anything happen? But nothing happened from their side, no step was taken which shows that they have no intention of forming a commission.
He said that if the commission was not going to be formed, then we were not going to sit with the government just for hello and photo session, so Khan Sahib ended the negotiations in view of these factors.
He said that look, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is a political party, it wanted to talk to all political parties, Khan Sahib himself started it and Khan Sahib first formed the committee.
