Mumbai: Mrunal Thakur will play the heroine instead of Sonakshi Sinha in the sequel of comedy blockbuster ‘Son of Sardar’ opposite Ajay Devgan.
According to Indian media sources, many new artists will also be given a chance in Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt’s new comedy film.
According to sources, the work on the film has started since June this year and the sequel will also feature Nirav Bajwa, Kubra Seth, Deepak Dobriyal, Sharat Saxena, Roshni Walia and Ashwini Kalsekar.
The first leg of the film will be shot in Scotland, which will end in August, while the second leg will be shot in India.
The story of ‘Son of Sardar 2’ is yet to be revealed while the release is likely to be in the middle of 2025.
