Washington: The death of 67 people in a collision between a passenger plane and a military helicopter near Ronald Reagan Airport in Washington has been described as the worst air disaster since 9/11.
According to US media, all 67 people on board the plane and the Black Hawk helicopter were killed in a worst air crash near Washington.
The plane was carrying 64 people, including the crew, and three military personnel in the Black Hawk helicopter. Most of the bodies have been recovered from the river after the accident.
The Pentagon has launched an investigation into the accident and the incident is being described as the worst air disaster in the 23 years since 9/11.
US President Donald Trump blamed former President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party for the accident, claiming that the accident occurred due to the hiring of all kinds of inexperienced people at the Federal Aviation Authority, but he did not provide any evidence to support this claim.
