Mumbai: Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Pandey will be seen together for the first time in a powerful social drama based on the life of C Shankaran Nair.
The film is based on the real-life story of famous Indian lawyer C Shankaran Nair in which he fought a landmark case against British imperialism to expose the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
Dharma Productions announced the release date of the film on social media on Friday morning, according to which the film will release on March 14, 2025, on the occasion of Holi.
Karan Johar’s production company took to its official Instagram account to share details of the film, writing, “An unique story, an unseen truth”. The film is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, and the film is based on the book “The Case That Shook the Empire” by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat.
The film is based on one of the longest-running trials after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, in which C. Shankaran Nair fought a historic battle for the people of India.
The film highlights Nair’s fearless struggle against British oppression and depicts a pivotal moment in India’s freedom struggle.
