The top officials of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) contacted Pakistan for security of the team.
The Bengal Tigers team is scheduled to visit Pakistan from August 17 for a 2-Test series as part of the ICC World Test Championship.
The first match of the series will be played in Rawalpindi from 21st to 25th August while the second match will be played in Karachi from 30th August to 3rd September.
Chairman of Bangladesh Cricket Operations Jalal Younis while talking to the media said that it is Pakistan’s job to provide the security responsibility of the team, but he has only given assurances in this regard.
He said that during the Asia Cup, you have seen that security was provided to the Bangladesh team, the tour was confirmed on the assurance of security provision.
Jalal Younis further said that he is in touch with the Pakistani authorities regarding security.
