ISLAMABAD: Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has been transferred from Adiala to Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore to appear in a pending anti-terrorism case.
Vice Chairman PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi will be produced in the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court early today and he has been kept in Kot Lakhpat Jail on the request of the Lahore Police.
Cases related to May 9 against Shah Mahmood Qureshi are pending in Lahore and the Lahore Police requested the Anti-Terrorism Court to transfer Shah Mahmood Qureshi to Kot Lakhpat.
Sources said that the record of the former foreign minister will be transferred from Adiala Jail to Lahore in two days.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi will be kept in Lahore until the trials of the cases registered in Lahore regarding the May 9 incidents are completed.
