Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro sworn in for third term as president.
According to a foreign news agency, Nicolas Maduro, who was elected for a third term, took the oath of office for a third term. Maduro was first elected as president of Venezuela in 2013. The opposition had accused the July elections of fraud.
On the other hand, the US has announced a $25 million reward for anyone who helps arrest Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. Rewards of $15 million each have been offered for the arrest of Venezuela’s interior minister and defense minister. The Venezuelan president is accused of smuggling cocaine into the US.
Venezuela has accused the US intelligence agency CIA of plotting to assassinate President Nicolas Maduro and other top officials, but the US has denied these claims.
