Washington: US President Donald Trump, during a meeting with Jordanian King Abdullah, demanded to provide refuge to Palestinians displaced from the Gaza Strip.
Trump said that under his plan, residents affected by the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip will be relocated to other areas, so that the United States can occupy the Gaza Strip.
Speaking with King Abdullah at the White House, President Trump once again indicated that he would not back down from his plan, which includes the relocation of Gaza residents and the reconstruction of the war-torn region.
Trump added that his plan would establish “peace” in the Middle East and create jobs in the region.
In this meeting held in the Oval Office of the White House, Trump said that we will take Gaza and keep it and value it, and create new jobs for the people.
Jordan’s King Abdullah said he had conveyed to Trump Jordan’s “firm position” against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
King Abdullah had said it was the United Arab Emirates’ position that “it is essential to rebuild Gaza and address the humanitarian crisis without displacing Palestinians.”
Despite King Abdullah’s clear stance, Trump expressed hope that both Jordan and Egypt would eventually agree to shelter displaced Gaza residents, as both countries receive economic and military aid from Washington, and the US relationship with them is important.
