3 passengers were killed and several others were injured when a passenger bus was hit by a landslide on the Karakoram Highway in Upper Kohistan.
A passenger bus going from Rawalpindi to Hunza met with an accident in Daso area of Upper Kohistan, District Police Officer Upper Kohistan Mukhtiar Ahmad said that the bus was hit by large stones, as a result of which 3 passengers died.
He said that the bodies of the dead and the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, two of the dead are from Gilgit-Baltistan and one is from Rawalpindi.
On the other hand, the spokesman of Rescue 1122 said that the Karakoram highway has been blocked at several places due to heavy rain in the area.
