Srinagar: Omar Abdullah took oath as the first Chief Minister after the abolition of special status under Article 370 and becoming a federal unit of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in 2019.
According to the World News Agency, in the recent elections held in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah’s party National Conference won 43 seats while the coalition party Congress won 8 seats.
In this way, Farooq Abdullah, the head of the party National Conference, which won 51 seats out of the total 90 seats, nominated his son Omar Abdullah as the Chief Minister.
Omar Abdullah was also the chief minister of the pro-Indian puppet administration of Occupied Kashmir from 2009 to 2015.
Farooq Abdullah’s rift with the Modi government widened when in 2019 a black law abolished the special status of Occupied Kashmir and included it as a federal unit of India.
This dark move was also protested by pro-Modi Kashmiri leaders Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, for which they were detained for a year.
The elections held this month were held in Occupied Kashmir as a federal unit of India.
