London: Five pro-Palestinian candidates have won in the British general election.
According to Arab media, the successful candidates include former Labor Party candidate Jeremy Corbyn, who won as an independent candidate. According to political commentators, Jeremy Corbyn has succeeded in talking out the issues in Israel’s war on Gaza.
According to the report, four other candidates also won as independents, including Shaukat Adam, from Leicester South.
According to Al Jazeera, Ayub Khan won the seat in Parry Bar, Birmingham, Adnan Hussain won in Black Bar, while Iqbal Mohammad won the seat in Dewsbury and Batley.
It should be noted that in the general elections held in the United Kingdom, the opposition party Labor Party won 412 out of 650 seats and wiped out the ruling party Conservative Party for 14 years.
The Conservatives won only 121 seats, which is 244 seats less than the last election. The opposition Labor Party, which won only 202 seats in the last election, has won 412 seats this time.
The Liberal Party came third by winning 71 seats in the elections. This victory of the Liberals is surprising as they won 60 more seats than in the last election.
Remember that 326 seats are required to form a government in the UK. The Labor Party was in a position to form a government alone without any coalition due to the landslide victory.
After the victory of the Labor Party, the Prime Minister of the ruling Conservative Party, Rishi Singh, resigned from his position, while the Labor Party announced the name of Keir Starmer for the new Prime Minister.
