USA broke India’s record for defending the lowest score in an ODI. In defense of a target of 123 runs, USA dismissed Oman for 65 runs. For the first time in the history of ODI cricket, all the overs in a match were bowled by spinners.
It should be noted that in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 match played in the Emirates, Oman won the toss and invited USA to bat first and allowed the visiting team to score only 122 runs.
From the USA, Maling Kumar was not out after scoring 47 runs. From Oman, only spinners were bowled, Shakeel Ahmed took 3, Amir Kaleem and Sameer Srivastava took two each, while Jay Odedra and Siddharth Bukapatnam took one wicket each.
In response, the US also bowled spinners and dismissed the entire Oman team for 65 runs. Hammad Mirza stood out for Oman with 29 runs.
