Lahore: Mohammad Haris has been entrusted with the leadership of the Pakistan Shaheens white ball team for the tour of Australia, while Usman Khan has joined the squad without playing domestic cricket.
Mohammad Haris last led the Pakistan Shaheens in the ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup 2023 held in Colombo, where the team defeated India by 128 runs to defend the title. Pakistan Shaheens are already in Darwin where they have to play 2 four-day matches against Bangladesh ‘A’.
Shaheens will take on Northern Territory (NT) and Bangladesh A in a 50-over match.
The team will also take part in the T20 series scheduled from August 9, in which the other participating teams are ACT Comets, Bangladesh A, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Perth Scorchers, Northern Territory Strike, Adelaide Strikers and Tasmania, last year’s finalist.
