The Pakistan squad for the series against Australia and Zimbabwe has been announced.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi will announce the white ball captain at a media conference in Lahore at 3.30 pm.
Former national team captain Babar Azam, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi have been made part of the squad for the tour of Australia, while they will be rested for the tour of Zimbabwe.
The selectors have also included domestic cricket performers in the squad for both the tours as part of their strategy to defend the ICC Champions Trophy.
Domestic cricket performers have been given more importance for the tour of Zimbabwe, the Pakistan team will play 3 ODIs and 3 T20 Internationals in Australia.
Similarly, 3 ODIs and 3 T20 Internationals will be played in the tour of Zimbabwe.
It should be noted that Mohammad Rizwan will be available in all matches of Australia and ODI matches in Zimbabwe.
