In the Tosha Khana 2 case, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) opposed the bail application of Bushra Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
In the Islamabad High Court, a hearing was held on the bail application of Bushra Bibi in the Tosha Khana 2 case, Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb heard the case.
During the hearing, FIA prosecutor Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi, FIA lawyers Umeer Majeed Malik and Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi appeared in the court while Bushra Bibi’s lawyer Barrister Salman Safdar also appeared.
Salman Safdar told the court that 12 days have passed since Bushra Bibi’s bail application was heard, on which Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb remarked that I had high fever when I came to the court on October 9 and it took me a long time to recover. .
Bushra Bibi’s lawyer Salman Safdar said that the case is that the price was lower than the private person who determined the price.
Salman Safdar said that after that the Customs officers determined the price, all these people are witnesses, no one has been made an accused, no one from the Cabinet Division has been made an accused, no one from the Cabinet Division has even been involved in the investigation. done
Barrister Salman Safdar said that it is the case of the prosecution that there was no direct contact between founder PTI and Bushra Bibi. He is a witness who is doing damage to the promise.
Bushra Bibi’s lawyer said that this is the first case of its kind, there is no judicial precedent, Bushra Bibi has been imprisoned to twist Imran Khan’s arm, Bushra Bibi has nothing to do with politics, she is a housewife. He is in jail for 264 days, arrested in this case since July 13, 2024.
He told the court that Bushra Bibi is not even a public office holder, this case was made after a delay of 3 years and 3 months. No criminal case was made against Bushra Bibi.
Justice Hasan Aurangzeb inquired whether it was the executive’s decision to give 50% of the money and take away the gift, to which the FIA prosecutor said the procedure was not followed.
Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb asked which procedure was not implemented, what instructions have you been given regarding Bushra Bibi’s bail application?
“We will oppose the bail application,” the FIA prosecutor said, adjourning the case till tomorrow, adding that the FIA prosecutor would continue his arguments tomorrow.
It should be noted that during the hearing held on October 4, charges could not be filed against Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the Tosha Khana 2 case.
