ABU DHABHI: The United Arab Emirates has issued 16,456 people with Golden Visas to reside in the country.
According to foreign media, Golden Visas have been given to people who have shown outstanding performance in the field of education, which is a residence permit to stay in the UAE for 10 years.
The lucky ones who received Golden Visas include 10,710 high school students who scored 95 percent or more in exams.
University graduates have also been given Golden Visas, numbering 5,246, while 337 education experts are also among these lucky ones.
According to UAE authorities, 147 graduates of globally recognized universities and 16 prominent scientists are also among those who received Golden Visas.
According to officials, the purpose of the Golden Visa is to provide permanent residence to internationally intelligent and capable individuals in the kingdom so that these individuals can play an important role in the development of the kingdom’s educational sector and other sectors.
