Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Saif has said that there is no problem of shortage of medicines and food in Karam.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Information Advisor Barrister Saif while holding a press conference said that before running the news, the government’s position must be taken. Anti-aircraft guns and rocket launchers were used in the Karam battle. While the weapons present in Karam will be collected by the government.
He said that all the suggestions have been assured to be implemented in the Grand Jirga. However, some people are hesitant to surrender heavy weapons. Some people still have doubts about ensuring law and order.
Barrister Saif said that there is no problem of availability of medicines or food in Karam. However, there is no doubt that the people are facing difficulties. In any case, weapons will be surrendered in Kurram.
He said that there are forces on both sides who are trying to prolong the matter. And it is the responsibility of both parties to stop people who are inciting violence. Now this chain must be stopped at all costs.
Health Advisor Ehtesham Ali said that medicines are being delivered to Karam through the Chief Minister’s helicopter. And false news is being spread on social media regarding Kurram.
He said that there are difficulties in delivering medicines due to road closures. However, it is wrong to say that children have died due to unavailability of medicines. The message shared by Karam DHQM citing this is wrong. The Medical Superintendent did not send any such message.
