Lahore High Court (LHC) was informed on Thursday that a total of 12 criminal cases have been filed against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder chairman Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi.
Additional Advocate General Sattar Sahil while presenting the report in the court said that 12 police cases have been registered against Bushra Bibi out of which 11 are in Rawalpindi and one in Attock.
The lawyer of the federal government also said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has registered a case against him related to Tosha Khana.
In the light of government reports, Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh disposed of Bushra Bibi’s petition seeking details of all the unknown cases registered against her.
It was contended in the petition that the petitioner was illegally imprisoned despite not being required in any criminal case after acquittal, confirmation of bail and suspension of sentences in all previous cases registered against him. If the petitioner is arrested in any other case without his knowledge, it will amount to miscarriage of justice.
The petitioner’s counsel requested the court to order the respondents to furnish fresh list of secret and undisclosed cases against their client and issue an order to stay their arrest in any such case.
