The Ontario Ministry of Labour has launched an investigation into an accident that occurred on the set of Beast Games, an Amazon Prime series led by popular YouTuber Jimmy “Mr. Beast”.
According to reports, the accident occurred on September 11, 2024, at a Toronto film location where a large piece of wood fell from a tower built in a miniature village. The accident injured one crew member, who is still receiving treatment in the hospital.
The ministry has issued some instructions to production houses Blink 49 Studios and Manhattan Beach Studios. However, details are not being released until the investigation is complete.
Concerns have been raised about safety measures in the production of Beast Games before. Such allegations were made in an article in Rolling Stone, and YouTuber Rosanna Pancino hinted at further revelations.
Mr. Best denied the allegations in a December 2024 video, where he said that reports of anyone on set breaking a bone or buying silence were unfounded.
Currently, Mr. Best has not commented on this new investigation, but the incident raises further questions about the series’ production.
