US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller has said that we condemn the incidents of vandalism and arson in Pakistan on May 9.
When asked about the May 9 attacks in the press briefing, he said that the protest should be done in a peaceful manner. We oppose violence against us and support freedom of expression in a legitimate way.
Governments should act in accordance with the law and with respect for freedom of expression.
