The US delegation aims to ensure the full implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and reduce the growing tension between the parties
US Vice President and Trump’s son-in-law urgently leave for Israel to save Gaza peace deal.
Jerusalem: The US leadership has intervened urgently after the Gaza ceasefire agreement was in jeopardy.
US Vice President Jay DeVine, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff have left for Israel to save the peace deal.
According to a foreign news agency, the US delegation aims to ensure the full implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and reduce the growing tension between the parties.
On the other hand, the Hamas delegation is led by Khalil al-Hayyah, who is in Cairo to discuss the implementation of the ceasefire with Egyptian authorities.
Jared Kushner told the media before his departure that “Hamas is fulfilling its promises, the Gaza peace agreement will be 100 percent successful, we cannot afford its failure.”
Meanwhile, the Israeli army has announced that it is resuming the implementation of the ceasefire. However, despite the ceasefire, 45 Palestinians have been martyred in Israeli attacks so far, while a total of 98 Palestinians have been martyred since October 10.
According to analysts, the Gaza peace agreement has entered a critical phase and the arrival of the US delegation to Israel is a sign that Washington does not want to let the agreement fail at any cost.
