Islamabad: The meeting of the National Assembly is going on to approve the constitutional amendments related to the Judiciary.
The meeting of the National Assembly is going on under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker Ghulam Murtaza Shah. At the beginning of the meeting, the Speaker administered the oath to Tahir Rasheed, the elected PP member of parliament from Rahim Yar Khan.
The government called the meeting today to approve the amendments in the provisions of the constitution related to the judiciary, while today also the meeting of the senate has been called so that the amendments can be approved as soon as possible.
On the other hand, JUI has refused to support the extension of any post including the Chief Justice, after which the government is facing difficulties in completing the number game.
