After the Akora Khattak blast, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has demanded that the Federation approve the TORs for talks with Afghanistan as soon as possible.
Spokesperson of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Barrister Muhammad Saif, has said that the Federation should approve the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s Terms of Reference (TORs) for talks with Afghanistan as soon as possible.
He said that the Federation should avoid further delay in approving the TORs, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government wants to send a delegation to Afghanistan on an emergency basis, and the protection of the lives and property of its people is the top priority and responsibility of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
Barrister Saif clarified that the Federation should avoid politicizing this important issue instead of preventing terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Does the Federation have any objection to the foreign visits of the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Sindh?
He said that if Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz can engage in smog diplomacy with India, then what is wrong with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government talking to Afghanistan on an important issue like terrorism? The province’s sense of deprivation is increasing due to this duplicitous policy of the federation.
