Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that soon you will get the good news of reduction in electricity prices, the journey of 77 years has not been enviable, they were ahead of China but left behind.
Addressing the Independence Day ceremony of Pakistan, he said that our elders made great sacrifices for freedom. Today we salute the martyrs and ghazis of the freedom movement. In 1947, Pakistan separated from India and became an Islamic welfare state.
Shahbaz Sharif said that unfortunately the economy and other sectors continued to decline. Today we need to hold ourselves accountable and plan for the future. There is a long list of successes and failures, every Pakistani wants the dream of the Quaid-e-Azam to be fulfilled in any case.
He said that China got independence 2 years after Pakistan, we were ahead of China but today we are behind. We need to think with integrity and impartiality, bury what has happened so far and start a new journey.
The Prime Minister said that industry cannot develop and exports cannot increase without reduction in electricity bills. The public is worried about inflation and unemployment. I promise that I will fight with my life for inflation, reduction of electricity price and development of Pakistan.
He further said that in a few days I will present a 5-year economic program to the nation. The enemy is using every tactic so that Pakistan cannot move forward, the enemy has started bombarding lies through digital terrorism.
